VILLAGE HALL REFURBISHMENT PROJECT

The Story So Far

Over the period from 2019, the Planning Group volunteered hundreds of hours as they worked with our architect, consultants and suppliers to the point where ‘The VH Project’ has become The Village Hall Refurbishment project

Refurbishment will ensure the building is future proofed. By extending, repairing, insulating, refitting, and redecorating the building, the community will hold the prospect that for the foreseeable future, the premises will be safe, sustainable, fully accessible to disabled users/visitors, and much easier to manage and maintain.

The results of the Community Consultation provided the detail needed to produce  the final draft of the Plan, and we can now progress to the next stage – raising the money !

The building work will take 4-5 months to complete.

The construction will be carried out in four stages, with the aim of interrupting normal activities and business of the Village Hall as little as possible.

Acquiring Funding

A large part of the funding will be drawn from grant monies complemented by a community fundraising initiatives.
